Shadows Of The Past.

ALRIGHTY!!!
A new fandom has emerged from the shadows, a shonen ai series titled LOVELESS!!!!
It's not a new comic, it's actually been around for quite awhile... apparantly the 8th book has already made its appearances in bookstores...
There are nekos in it!!! [Nekos: humans who have a pair of animal ears, commonly house pet ears such as cats or dogs, but wolves are common as well.] Apparantly that's normal, too.
Features a 12 year old boy named Ritsuka, and he has cat ears and tail to go with it. The other main character is a 20 year old named Soubi. Ritsuka's still studying in the 6th grade at Elementary school, and Soubi's in college on an Art degree.
Soubi has no neko ears, signifying adulthood. It was hinted at a point of time the loss of ears could mean that the subject has lost his or her virginity. Soubi is also a smoker. He is one of the strongest fighters who graduated out of the Seven Moons academy, where they are taught how to fight with the help of sacrifices. Soubi is the fighter, while Ritsuka is the sacrifice.
This implies that Soubi is able to cast word spells and all harm that the opponent inflicts on him will be instead relected on Ritsuka. However, the sacrifice seems to have the power to give orders to the fighter in and out of battle, and the fighter is powerless to refuse. Soubi is very protective over Ritsuka, especially in battle.
Ritsuka, at one point of time, was believed to have lost his older brother, Seime, but it was revealed later on in the series that Seime was actually still alive. His mother has a slight health condition, which causes her to lose control of her sanity regularly, and thus Ritsuka is constantly beaten by his mother. However, Ritsuka refuses to leave her side, saying he would never want his mother to be alone.
